Concordia

Font Design

When I was little, the encyclopedias in my grandfather’s bookshelves became the place where I came to discover new things of the current and past. Despite his limited ability to speak English, his longing for knowledge didn’t stop him from collecting books in hope that someone in my generation could gain something from them. The encyclopedia is a place of wonder, full of letters and photography that didn’t make any sense to me at that time. As I grow older, I look back and wonder if encyclopedias were how our society came to an agreement in the past. Concordia is a font I created in honor of my grandfather and the knowledge he passed down through literature.
